1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Deduco app or website (deduco.de / app.deduco.de), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These Terms are provided by Johannes Bauersachs, Lissi-Kaeser-Str. 6, 80797 München, Germany.
2. The Service
Deduco is a gamified medical learning platform offering interactive question banks, AI-powered patient simulations, XP and leaderboard systems, daily challenges, and progress analytics.
Free tier: 20 questions per day at no cost.
Deduco Pro (€19.99/month): Unlimited questions, all subjects, offline mode, and advanced analytics.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice.
3. Account Registration
You must provide a valid email address to register. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and must notify us immediately at support@deduco.de if you suspect unauthorised access.
One account per person. Sharing accounts is not permitted.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
Deduco Pro is billed monthly at €19.99 (incl. applicable VAT) and renews automatically until cancelled. Billing is handled through the respective app store (Apple App Store / Google Play) or RevenueCat.
To cancel, do so at least 24 hours before your next billing date via your app store subscription settings.
No refunds are issued for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.
5. Acceptable Use
You may use Deduco for personal, non-commercial learning only. You must not:
- Share, resell, or redistribute Deduco content to third parties
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to extract content
- Circumvent technical protection measures
- Use the platform for commercial purposes without written permission
- Post false, misleading, or harmful content
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on Deduco — including questions, explanations, AI-generated simulations, graphics, branding, and software — is owned by or licensed to Deduco and protected by copyright law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal use only. No content may be reproduced or distributed without prior written consent.
7. Medical Disclaimer
Deduco content is for educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional. Do not make clinical decisions based solely on Deduco content.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Deduco is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate the account at any time. Deduco may suspend or terminate your account immediately for breaches of these Terms. Upon termination of a paid subscription, access remains active until the end of the paid period.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms with at least 14 days' notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). EU consumers retain the protection of mandatory consumer law provisions of their country of residence. Jurisdiction is [PLACEHOLDER: city], Germany, to the extent permitted by law.
